Dayfuel started the way a lot of good things do, from a few tough knocks. Back in 2008, my family copped a string of serious health scares. It forced us to take nutrition seriously. Between work, raising teenagers and trying to live a normal life, I went rabbit-hole deep into sourcing vitamins, minerals and wholefood supplements. Our kitchen turned into a full-blown supplement lab powders, pills, tonics and even a cold presser for organic greens like Kale, one my daughter reckoned (“tasted like a fish’s bum”). Sixteen years on, I’m still researching and constantly refining with our team.

The real spark for Dayfuel came from a close mate. Overworked, run-down, pale as his office walls. I handed him a custom mix I’d put together, 2 months worth and said, “Get this into ya.” A few weeks in, he felt great. A month later - even better. But when he ran out? "I had a look,” he said. “It's too hard. Can’t be bothered. You’ve got to buy half of it online and the rest from some health food shop. Forget that.”

That was the light bulb moment. Most blokes aren’t going to chase powders and pills from five different places. If it’s not dead simple, it won’t happen.

So, I built Dayfuel.
